Our Day Has Come
I am dreaming of new Thailand where all the people are happy. Our King Rama IX has just appointed a new Prime Minister...
Tomorrow, February 4, 2006, is the day of peaceful anti-government public demonstration. It is to be PEACEFUL. We only want to show our disapproval of how this corrupt government has been corrupting our country since its first day in power. We only want to pass our formal petition to His Majesty the King by way of HM's Chief Privy Councilor. And peaceful public demonstration is a guaranteed right, written in the Constitution, of an individual.
Thais are a peace-loving people. These many years of peace is a result of His Majesty's hard work. We try to avoid confrontation as much as we can.
Constantly rising public resentment against the thoroughly corrupt Prime Minister worries a lot of people. There have been rumors of planned counter attack with forces. Corrupt Ministers are pitching His Majesty's Armed Forces against His Majesty's Ordinary Subjects.
In the end, as it had been proven before, only the King's TRUE soldiers will side with us the people. For out of their uniform, they are also His Majesty's subjects who have sworn to protect the sovereignty of His Kingdom and people. They are also people who witness the very same thing we witness, suffer the very same fate we suffer, and know about the government's unjust deeds as much as we do. The soldiers may get their orders to crush the people, but their hearts and conscience will tell them to do right thing.
Do not underestimate the power of love and loyalty the Thais have for our King and our motherland. We are ready to put down our lives for the freedom of the nation.
I only hope there will be no bloodshed and no loss of lives because that will only hurt our beloved King.
Woe to you, Corrupt politicians and cronies. Your days to answer to the Thai people are fast catching up with you.
